60 vs 4

As I mentioned, I spent yesterday with daughter and family. The youngest GS is 4 and, like all kids that age, is full of energy. Going full throttle as long as he is awake. I did my best to match him and keep a wary eye on his doings. Lets face it a 4yo can get into mischief faster than an eye-blink. I thought I had handled everything very well until today. I was exhausted. Woke up at 8AM and thought I would get up but the body wasn't as enthusiastic about the idea as the brain was. Laid back down and the next time I opened my eyes it was almost 2PM. Even then the body only begrudgedly complied with the brain.

Its obvious why its young adults that have children. I don't think I could do this on a daily basis. [pant-pant]

Thats also why there was no Noon post.

The temps have cooled off a bit today. But the northern half of California is ablaze with nature caused fires. All by lightning strikes.

The flood waters rushing down the Mississippi will probably increase the "dead-zone" in the Gulf of Mexico. All those phosphates and agricultural wastes.

The latest in "gee-whiz" in digital cameras.

Straight out of sci-fi. Binoculars controlled by brainwaves.

Ever wonder why nice guys always finish last? Part of the reason is that by being nice or accommodating they appear to be weak.

"Let's all be careful out there!"
