MEET "PASTA POWER"It was able to sleep in the barn last night but it's American cousin had to sleep outside.
Where the dreaded
Stretch Limos prowl the countryside.
LAST NIGHTPar for the course, the night following a big holiday is quiet. Last night exemplified that. I only had 6 runs for the shift.
OUCH!But I did make money.
My first run was from the Kea Lani to the airport. A nice young couple from Atlanta, GA, USA, returning home.
~ Ken & Amy ~
Atlanta, GA As soon as I dropped them, I made a "Meet & Greet" for a family from New Jersey and brought them back to The Grand. Dropped them at 9:30pm and my next run wasn't until 1:30am. Did another "bar close" run right after that and then nothing until 4:30am when I had a regular pu-pu run and closed out the night with a run from the far northend of Kihei all the way to the Kea Lani.
THOUGHT PROVOKINGOn my way home, I spied this flag attached to some shrubbery along a residential street.
***ADDENDUM*** The words in the last photo are hard to read, so here is what it says:
It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
who has given us the right to vote.
