Our good friend, DB of Dogbait's Babble, has posted pictures he's taken on various hiking trips to the Himalayas. Some were eerie. This one is down right frightening.
Well, "Slick Willie" may be up to his old tricks again. At least this time his taste in women seems to have improved. Hillary's standing in the community would jump 1,000% if she filed for divorce.
For decades, astromers thought our galaxy, the Milky Way, was composed of 4 arms. New results from infrared imaging has established that it only has 2 arms. A lot of text books are going to have to be rewritten.
Later this week, NASA will launch GLAST(Gamma-ray Large Array Space Telescope) and it is going to look at our universe in the highest radiation spectrum yet. And while it is expected to record events heretofore only speculated, what it finds that we haven't even guessed at will be more amazing.
The Federal Government has taken another step to shove the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Storage Facility down the throat of Nevada. The half-life of the waste will be over 10,000 years. Longer than man has been civilized.
It has always been believed that the original Polynesian settlers of New Zealand, now called Maori, arrived around 300 CE. New archaeological evidence now indicates their arrival wasn't until circa 1300 CE. Which just may rewrite all of the history of Polynesian migrations.
The Universal Studios theme park has reopened after this weekends fire. I wonder if they'll develop a new ride out of these events?
Do you know who the big winner was over this primary campaign season? Television! To the tune of $200 million in ad revenue.
The US Supreme Court gave US Attorneys General a lesson on money laundering yesterday. In two very close decisions, criteria was established to clarify vague wording in written statutes.
Winnebago, the motor home manufacturer, is laying off personnel and slowing production. Economy and the price of fuel is the reason.
Did you know that smoking marijuana may be harmful to your brain? Gee, I didn't know that.
Did you have a bunk bed as a kid? I did. Being the oldest, I had the top bunk, of course. I was lucky, I was never injured. And yes I would jump off it. Don't all kids? Turns out that a recent 6-year study shows that bunk beds may be hazardous to your health. Especially if you are in the 18-21 year old bracket. A lot of college dorms use bunk beds and they don't mix well with heavy alcohol consumption.
Katrina struck and when FEMA finally got around to it, many of the disenfranchised were housed in travel trailers. After health issues were raised FEMA discovered the trailers were insulated with a material that produces formaldehyde gases. FEMA stated that they would remove these trailers from their inventory. Now with the start of the new hurricane season, FEMA has backed off from that decision and plans to use the same trailers again, as need arises.
Do you feel that Bill's participation in Hillary's campaign was detrimental to her? A writer for Vanity Fair magazine has put forth this assertion and "Slick Willie" is pissed.
