HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY

While it is the 25th here in Hawai'i, three hours west of me it is the 26th of January, which is AUSTRALIA DAY. Happy Birthday to the Land of Oz.

It is also Scolly's birthday too. Most of you can't read her and her daughter's (Holly) site, since it has restricted access. It's the Dawn of a new decade, sweetheart. Enjoy every moment of it.

The fire continues to burn, waaaay up the mountain. The first pic is what my camera caught and the second one is after tinkering with various filters, etc. Took the pic just outside my back fence. It is at least one mile above me and probably 5 or 6 miles to the east. The second shot is pretty good, considering the distances involved.

All tunnels leak a bit. When the temperature is -30 (that cold, who cares if it is F or C) you get days like this one. When you watch this, note that the driver of the articulated bus is the best driver of the group. Oh, I "borrowed" this from Lugosi's site.

I don't know if anyone else saw this yesterday but three different sites on the "new" blogger were hi-jacked for a brief period by the same porn site that took over "Through A windshield, Darkly" earlier this year. I had just finished my post and was starting my daily visits, London Cabbie's site was kaput and pornofied. Meatareda, likewise. Even MY doppelganger was X-rated. Less than 10 seconds later ALL of www2.blogger.com went into "error code 500" (internal server failure) mode for about 30 minutes. Looks like the blogger boys in blue will need to make some new patches for the new server. That'll teach google to hire ex-Microsoft Vista employees.
