I AM NOT A "HAPPY CAMPER"

FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

QUOTE:

FLASH FLOOD WATCH

Expires 4:15 AM HST on March 16, 2006

Statement as of 3:14 PM HST on March 15, 2006

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* all of the main Hawaiian islands.

* Through Friday afternoon.

* An upper-level low will continue to produce heavy rain and
maintain the threat of flash flooding on all of the Hawaiian
islands this week. Prior rains have filled reservoirs and
saturated slopes in places. Take the time now to determine
whether you are located below a dam or slope that could give
way. Avoid streambeds and other areas prone to sudden
flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions exist that could lead
to sudden flash flooding.

Take precautions now to protect life and property. Be prepared to
act quickly if a warning is issued or you observe heavy rain.

Report flooding to police or civil defense officials for relay to
the National Weather Service.

GOOD NEWS / BAD NEWS

Rain means more people will take cabs rather than walking to their restaurant. Fewer "jaywalkers" too.

DUI's, who can't drive on dry pavement, will now be out careening down the roads on wet pavement.

I am going to get soaked.
